What's the buzz about it? I've never heard of it before, but quick googling makes it seem like maybe a combination of Tumblr and DA.

I have an account there and got a bunch of the codes the other day too. I'm frequently tempted to "move" to Dreamwidth but in the end I can't be bothered. xD
